Amervis López Cobb, MBA, PMP®, is an Afro Latina leader with over 25 years of experience in inclusive leadership and organizational transformation. She is a Director at BECU, founder of Ascend & Transcend LLC, and the author of From the Streets to Corporate America and the #1 bestseller Leading with Psychological Safety: 52 Essential Practices for a Year of Building Trust and Empowering Teams.
At Ascend & Transcend LLC, Amervis strives to serve women and BIPOC communities by powerfully reminding them of their inherent ability to own and transform their stories, turning pain into purpose and potential into progress. We also equip inclusive leaders with the tools and insights needed to advance psychological safety, achieve peak performance, and boost retention.
Amervis overcame challenges as a teen mom and high school dropout to become a corporate manager within a decade. She is passionate about elevating underrepresented voices, promoting inclusivity, and improving BIPOC representation and retention in organizations. Amervis has been recognized with a Congressional Certificate of Recognition for her efforts in advancing women in business.
Jillyan McKinney is a multiracial Latina with over 20 years of experience as an educator, curriculum designer, community builder, and facilitator specializing in Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, Accessibility, and Belonging (DEIAB). She holds a Master’s degree in Education, specializing in culturally responsive pedagogy and has extensive expertise in racial equity, literacy, adult learning theory, and curriculum design.
Jillyan’s commitment to social justice is deeply personal. Growing up in a predominantly white area she witnessed her family’s resilience against systemic racism and saw firsthand the inequities faced by Black and Brown students in the educational system. These experiences fueled her passion for creating equitable opportunities for all and ignited her dedication to breaking down systemic barriers and building bridges of understanding.
Her professional journey is distinguished by her ability to design and implement impactful programs. She has received advanced training from the National Equity Project, equipping her to lead initiatives on topics such as racial and social equity, community engagement, relationship building, leadership development, and trauma-informed practices. As a district Equity Lead, Jillyan co-authored an Ethnic Studies curriculum designed to ensure all students see their identities reflected in education. Her work spans schools, nonprofits, private and public organizations, and international settings, including impactful initiatives in Ghana, highlighting her global perspective.
As the Senior Director of Projects and Operations at the Equity and Wellness Institute, Jillyan conducts organizational DEIAB assessments, aligns internal frameworks with regional initiatives, and empowers community partners to drive sustainable change. Whether leading a Train the Trainer program or facilitating equity-focused community engagement, her mission remains to build spaces where every story is valued, voice is amplified, and equity is the standard.

With her background as a Registered Addiction Specialist, she brings a depth of understanding to addiction and recovery, building authentic partnerships with those often considered "the most difficult to serve.
Kim is currently a doctoral candidate pursuing her Doctorate in Human Services. Her capstone project focuses on best practices in Permanent Supportive Housing for chronically unsheltered individuals with severe mental health disorders, approached through the lens of Trauma-Informed Care and Harm Reduction. This research directly aligns with her work at Goodness Village, informing and enhancing the program’s evidence-based approach to housing stability and holistic well-being.
Her unwavering dedication to her community, passion for addressing homelessness, and commitment to learning and growth continue to drive her work and inspire those around her. Through her leadership, Goodness Village is not only transforming lives locally but also creating a replicable model for addressing chronic homelessness with dignity, compassion, and innovation.
Kim Curtis leads Goodness Village with a steadfast commitment to providing the Tri-Valley’s formerly unhoused neighbors a safe, supportive community where they can live independently, heal, and thrive. Under her leadership, Goodness Village has become an innovative, low-barrier, community-centric program that incorporates 28 tiny homes, 24/7 wrap-around mental health services, onsite case management, and a three-tier vocational program to support successful transitions out of chronic homelessness.
Kim’s career began with a focus on domestic violence, supported by an academic foundation in Criminal Justice (AA) and Human Services (BA). She went on to earn a Master’s in Social Work, becoming a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in 2012. Her specialization centers on addressing the complex needs of the chronically unhoused, especially those with co-occurring mental health and substance use challenges.
Beth Fratt is a wife and mother to three extraordinary women in their 20’s. Over the past two decades, her primary role has been to be a stay at home mom with side hustles to keep her creative. A decade ago, Beth found her true calling as a designer which lead to a later in life return to school and jobs as a home stylist and designer at Anthropologie and Crate and Barrel. Today, she runs her small design firm, Fratthousedesign, in Chicago, IL. Some of her other side hustles include being a mentor, teacher, speaker and activist.
Mary Grace Yniguez is a powerhouse CEO, community leader, and champion for entrepreneurs. As the driving force behind Social Register Network (SRN)—a platform with a 30-year legacy of empowering business owners—Mary Grace has redefined what it means to network, connect, and grow in Las Vegas and beyond. Under her leadership, SRN has evolved into a thriving hub where business owners come together not just to elevate their businesses but also to give back to the community in meaningful ways.
Mary Grace is also the founder of Hey Boo!, the women’s division of SRN, where she creates dynamic spaces [Internationally] for women entrepreneurs to connect, collaborate, and rise. Her unwavering belief that "when women rise, communities flourish" drives Hey Boo!’s mission to support women as they build, grow, and scale their businesses while staying true to their authentic selves.
A former teen mom turned international best-selling author, speaker, and visibility & marketing strategist, Mary Grace brings over 15 years of experience in marketing and business development. Her expertise in relationship marketing ensures every entrepreneur she supports stands out, authentically connects with their audience, and secures the visibility they deserve.

Jade Owens is a Senior at California High in San Ramon, CA. For the last three years, she has served on the Sandy Hook Promise National Youth Advisory board where she travels around the country educating other students on the warning signs of violence. She spoke at the 10th Annual National Gun Violence Prevention Conference in Washington DC, and was selected to participate in a 20 youth roundtable at the Office of Gun Violence Prevention at the White House this past summer. Jade is also the President of the Sandy Hook Promise club at her school where she leads efforts to increase inclusion and belonging for all students. A Rotary Student of the Month winner, Jade also participated as a panelist sharing her experiences on building sustainable partnerships between family and caregivers with future Teachers in Stanford University’s S.T.E.P program.
Jade is an active member of the leadership team at her school, and an award winning gymnast. She also enjoys working part time and making memories with her friends.
Jade credits her mom with teaching her everything she knows about speaking, captivating an audience, and with showing her that she is enough. She tries to spread that message in all of her advocacy work.

Michaell Dupin has been serving in the local church for 25 years, 8 of which have been leading a start-up church in the San Francisco Bay Area, alongside of her husband Clint. She has spent years communicating a long-held belief that God has an incredible, adventure-filled story not only for each of our individual lives and the lives of our families, but also for the impact we can make on our world both locally and globally when we come together. Michaell also sits on the board of the Mosaic Collective, which flows out of her deep passion to help elevate the voices of women and global majority leaders especially in spaces where this is not the norm. It is also her great joy to raise 4 children to know they are each created with great value and a unique role in being a part of the solution to the broken and hurting places in our world.
Danielle Hawthorne is a compassionate disruptor and truth-teller committed to honoring her worth and dignity and supporting others in their journey to do the same. She is an experienced Executive, Keynote Speaker, transformational Leadership Coach dedicated to using her voice and rich experiences to authentically contribute, fearlessly advocate, and profoundly enhance every space she enters by connecting and engaging with people. She is passionate about eliminating systems of oppression, which led her to Code2040, where she championed strategic initiatives with transformative results as Vice President of Programs. As a responsive leader, Ms. Hawthorne restructured and expanded service offerings as Director of Early Career Programs.
